Jaro city
Jaro City A Well Known Gang In The Southside Of Chicago IL, their ruled a gang that was always in the line of fire. They were young savages that came up in the trenches and became the trenches for the next generation jumping off the porch. The world now knows them as JaroCity made widely popular by Jaro City members JaroCity Bam and G 5ive after they blew up in the rap game To the streets JaroCity was officially known as The Jaro City which as the name implies was a merging of two sets, Jaro City But before they united their forces and became the gang that wasnβt scared to go at it with any of the many opps surrounding their territory, they had their own battles to fight that led them to linking into one. JaroCity roots are planted in the soil of The origins of the Gangster Disciples began in Englewood (in Chicago, Illinois's South Side) in 1964, when then 13-year-old Larry 'The King' Hoover joined a small street gang called the 'Supreme Gangsters'. For years, the Supreme Gangsters had an outstanding war with the Black Disciples Nation, led by David Barksdale. In 1969, Hoover and Barksdale agreed to a ceasefire. This resulted in the creation of the Black Gangster Disciple Nation. By the early 1970s, the BGD of the Black Gangster Disciples. In 1978, the BGDN began to splinter into three distinct factions: Black Gangsters, Black Disciples and Gangster Disciples; however, Hoover (at the time incarcerated on murder charges) prevented it by quickly setting up an alliance of all street and prison gangs in his interest into one family. The alliance consisted of Gangster Disciples, Black Disciples, Satan Disciples, Latin Disciples, Spanish Gangster Disciples, Ambrose, Two-One Boys, Two-Two Boys, Two-Sixers/Two-Six Boys, Simon City Royals, North Side Insane Popes, La Raza, Spanish Cobras, Imperial Gangsters, Harrison Gents, and the Latin Eagles. The Gangster Disciples are active in over 100 cities and 50 states, predominantly in the Midwestern and Southeastern United States, and remnants also maintain a significant presence in the U.S. prison system. The gang had between approximately 50,000 and 90,000 members. The gang had expanded through the North and West Sides of Chicago, as well as Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Detroit, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Birmingham, Hattiesburg, and co-founder Hoover's birthplace of Jackson. They first emerged in significant numbers in Memphis, Tennessee in the 1980s, the first modern street gang to do so. In 1989, Hoover's attention of the Black Gangster Disciples began to die down as he focused solely on the Gangster Disciples, enraging parts of the BGDN's subsets and the Folk Nation. Members of the Black Disciples decided to splinter from the Black Gangster Disciples, resulting in the reinvention of the original gang name and the incorporation of the new Gangster Disciples. Other members who felt disrespected by Hoover's declining orders decided to get his attention again by instigating gang-related shootings toward the new GD's. Two noted shootings that related to the dispute between the two Disciple gangs was a drug-related shooting that killed some members of the Gangster Disciples and the 1991 revenge murder of Black Disciple leader Mickey "Bull" Johnson.
- Jaro city
You see the word "Jaro" being constantly used around in the city, but not everybody understands what Jaro actually is. Jaro city is not a set, it is an alliance. STL is composed of four different sets, in four different blocks. All of the Folly sets are part of the southsdie area. Consequentially, all Folly sets are composed of Black P. Stones. The sets go by the names of SODMG (63rd & May), OTL (54th & Laflin), BBG (54th & May), and AMB/ZoneBirdWay (64nd & Bishop). When thinking about Jaro city you always have to remember STl. Without STL there is no Jaro city
- SODMG
The set βSODMGβ are the main one who putting on for the Jaro movement. SODMG, located in 52nd & May, is what people actually think that Jaro is. SODMG, standing for Scrap or Die Molly Gang, are the poster boys of the Jaro movement. People like D.Rose (who is most famous for his work on 600) and Five Star (who is currently locked up, scheduled for release around 2035) stem from 52nd & May, and this block is very relevant in most beefs that involve the Jaro city movement. They are a small group of minorities from the streets of Chicago more specifically the front block of 54nd & May. The young minorities are most know for βCar Jacking, House Burglary, Scamming and Scheming". Their motto focuses more on getting money and staying out the way. They participate in illegal activities such as fraud, panhandling, and pimping women. Although the clique is filled with youngins trying to make it, they still follow a strict guideline, staying out the way and getting to the bread. The set βSODMGβ was formed by Black P Stone affiliates In the name of a fall soldier "Scrapp" that died in the war between β50 Strongβ.
Scrapp started as a young well behaved kid that lived on the front street of 52nd and May but, that slowly changed. This young man was outside on the block daily and unfortunately he became a product of his environment. They slowly got influenced by the fellow gang members that live on the block and by the age of 14 he jumped off the porch and did everything in his power to impress the older homies. He participated in illegal activities such as home invasions, credit card theft, and car jacking.

- Conflict Within The Area
Jaro main enemies include most NLC sets (namely GlizzyGang), Dumpstreet, 50Strong, and other Jaro sets like STL/EBT and JAJA GANG after the death of G-Nuk from OTL. Their alliances with 600 and O'Block also means that they have a little bit of a beef with the enemies of those sets, namely 051YM. The war between 50 Strong and jaro dates all the way back to the 80's. The Jaro were always younger than the 50's however that didn't stop them from anything.
April 2009, how the beef kicked off with Jaro & 50Strong is when βDeeβ, 18, from 50 Strong killed βKDβ or as other people knew as Kiante, 19, from Jaro , Dee eventually get caught and got sentenced to 55 years in prison. After that there began to be some hostile tension building up between the two groups which quickly led to bodies dropping. It was non stop war with both groups killing each other back to back. The killing continued for many years. In 2010, more killing kicked off.
50 Strong took a very loved member from Jaro's formally known as Rosco also known as Double R, whom real name was Rodrick. This happened just after a year after Crack's death, he was Jaro city first loss. So now it was time for Jaro city to get somebody from 50 Strong, there wasn't any change on the score board for about a year, but everything changed the 28th of December 2011, an elite member from 50 Strong had to go, and for that, they needed a well known member to kill him. Scrap also known as SOD was a very respected member from Follyz, he was 22, and already gained tons of respect, he was known for being one of the hood's biggest trapper. That day, around 5:40pm, Dougo (a member from 50 Strong) age 19, was sitting on a porch in his hood, when a SUV pulled up and Scrap who was inside fired shots. Scrap let off shots which led to Dougo being shot in the head, and was later pronounced dead in the hospital. After this body the subset Folly Boyz were really set in stone.
June 8th of 2012, a dangerous and well known shooter Lil Tank, age 21, and best friend of fallen soldier Wooski, drove up to Jaro block, he then hopped out with his affiliates, and fired the fatal shots to kill Jaro city member Cameron Davis, who was a very loved and respected member. As you can see 50 Strong was up on the score and unfortunately Jaro city were unable to get back before getting locked up. The war between the two groups has now faded away as they both move on to beef with opposing gangs within Chicago.
